What to Expect

Providence Baptist Church is a loving congregation which takes seriously the worship of God on the Lord’s Day. While we seek to have a friendly and welcoming environment, we desire that all who are in attendance are present to worship primarily, and in the second place, to fellowship together as the saints of God. We sing congregational Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with passion and joy. During our 10 am service, children aged 3-10 are invited to learn from and participate in our children’s ministry downstairs. They will typically hear a Bible lesson, work on a memory verse, and play a game/activity to help reinforce the ideas discussed. We offer a nursery for the morning worship service staffed with caring workers for those with small children. We are also welcoming of infants and small children in our worship services.

On the first Sunday morning of each month, as a general rule, we gather around the Lord’s table to partake of the Lord’s Supper. We are reminded of our covenant membership commitment at the Lord’s table.

On the first Sunday evening of each month we do not gather for our usual evening worship but rather gather in various homes for our cell group meetings.
